Polymer when mixed in tanks shall be added to water that is passed through tube or hopper, across a stationery panel or surface, stirred or agitated, in a manner which avoids the formation of lumps and results in homogeneous mixture of polymer in water. The polymer slurry may be agitated until required viscosity is developed and particles of partially dissolved polymer for not settle in the bottom. The required viscosity is attained in 30 minutes, Agitation is normally done by blowpipes, motorized stirrers or other suitable and effective means. The mixing tank should be constantly in agitation.
